The main color used by Cal Coast is blue (as evidenced by their jerseys). The client wanted to only use blue in the brochures. To avoid the piece from becoming unnecessarily monochromatic I convinced them to allow me to introduce orange into the design for its complementary and energetic qualities (which is a good idea for a running club).
